Zero Balancing / Reiki
History of ReikiReiki is an ancient Japanese system of natural healing and self-empowerment, discovered in the late 1800ís by Japanese physician Mikao Usui. The word Reiki is derived from the Japanese word ìReiî meaning universal higher power and ìKiî meaning life force energy. Everything around us is energy including you, and Reiki helps to balance this energy (through pathways called chakras), especially when we have either intentionally or unintentionally allowed negative thoughts and feelings (and people) to infiltrate our thought patterns.

Similar to all other forms of laying hands and energy work, Reiki promotes physical health, mental clarity and emotional well-being by reducing stress and enhancing relaxation. Many times, Reiki can also be used to take a person further into spiritual consciousness by helping them move beyond their blocks, whether they are physical, mental, emotional or purely energetic. Each treatment, with each person, is a different experience. Many clients share with me that each Reiki treatment they receive is unique, providing them support in various areas of the body and mind.

There comes a time when an individual becomes irresistible and his action becomes all-pervasive in its effect. This comes when he reduces himself to zero.”

Zero Balancing
Wouldn’t it be great if you could reset yourself back to zero? Well….. Zero Balancing offers you that possibility.
What to expect in a ZB session:
A ZB session begins with a discussion of your current state of health and goals for your Zero Balancing treatment. Goals may range from decreasing stress or pain to improving sleep, improving digestion, or increasing energy levels.
You will first sit and then lie on your back, fully clothed, on the massage table. Your practitioner will assess your body for tension, particularly tension held in the bones and joints. Then your Zero Balancer will place gentle finger pressure or traction called fulcrums into areas around the spine, ribs, hips, feet and neck to support the body, allowing it to deeply relax and release held tension in these areas. Often times, people will sink into a deep meditative state.
Zero Balancing enables your own energy to flow in stronger, clearer ways – helping you to feel more like yourself and more at home in your body.
At Sol Illumination, we allocate 55-60 minutes for a session to give sufficient time to set the frame (intention), do the work, and allow you a time to rest and integrate. Walking is the best way walk to integrate the work and gives you an opportunity to notice any shifts that might have taken place during the session.
- Zero Balancing (ZB) is powerful touch therapy for body and mind. Deeply relaxing and energizing, ZB touches your core, at the level of bone, to promote wellness and balance.
- A Zero Balancing (ZB) session will leave you feeling grounded, balanced and energized.
